Francis’ Next Target Is Cardinal Robert Sarah

Now that Cardinal Müller has been sacked the main target of the circle around Pope Francis is Cardinal Robert Sarah according to Marco Tosatti. Both cardinals belong to the Catholic wing in the Vatican.

Writing on First Things (October 23) Tosatti calls Francis’ public disavowal of the cardinal a “calculated humiliation” not only of Sarah but also of Benedict XVI and John Paul II.

Tosatti points out that Francis sides “with the part of the Church that calls itself progressive while seeking a return to the 1970s”.
