Cardinal Burke, I Have a Title But No Function

Amoris Laetitia has given way to confused and contradictory interpretations according to Cardinal Raymond Burke. Talking to katolikusvalasz.blog.hu he said, “There are passages which, in fact, call into question certain fundamental teachings of the Church and thus have generated contradictory understandings of the Church’s teaching on the Holy Eucharist and Holy Matrimony, and on acts which are intrinsically evil and, therefore, can never be justified.”

Burke also mentioned that he still has the title of Cardinal Patron of the Sovereign Order of Malta, but “earlier in the year, Pope Francis gave all of my responsibilities to Archbishop Giovanni Angelo Becciu. Thus, I have the title but, at present, no function.”

Your Eminence, When I asked if there will be a public correction of Amoris Laetitia, you told me not to worry about it; that you and the three other Cardinals were working on it. That was on March 19, in Oakland, California.
Now two Cardinals have died and only you and Card. Brandmuller are left to make the stand. It's now mid-September. Are you still working on it?

It seems the ultimate slap in the face to one of the few Catholic leaders who would love to honor the function and ditch the title like a hot potato.
