Francis Puts Primacy On Discussion

Pope Francis is ready “to evaluate, even critically” the primacy of the Roman Pontiff.

In a message to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople (November 30), Francis urges Catholics and Orthodox to continue the path of dialogue.

Yes! Go and chat with him "Francis"
Ask him if he wants to take over the See of Rome. He's a lot more Orthodox in the TRUE Catholic Faith than YOU are, & Tradition friendly. In fact, he might be far more willing to accept Rome's Primacy, if he held it himself!
All the Orthodox "Primate" needs to know is this.

Dear Orthodox Primate.

Are you aware that your Orthodox Bible, as sold on Amazon, is missing a key passage of Scripture?

I read this review on Amazon. (Paraphrased somewhat here)

From the Orthodox Study Bible.

Isaiah 22:22 "And I will give him the glory of David; and he shall rule, and no one will oppose him."

The editors of the translation claim that they take their text for the Old Testament from the Greek Septuagint. This they do NOT as THIS is how that same passage reads in the Greek Septuagint, the Hebrew O/T and the Latin Vulgate.

Isaiah 22:22 "And I will give him the glory of David; and he shall rule, and there shall be none to speak against him. and I will give him the key of the house of David upon his shoulder; and he shall open, and there shall be none to shut; and he shall shut and there shall be none to open."

The Orthodox Study Bible has shortened the passage omitting the remaining text. For what reason?
It is due to the Papacy! The Office that the Orthodox do not believe is authoritive

How did the Disciples KNOW for sure that Christ was founding His Church (The Catholic Church) upon St Peter? It is due to the clear proof that Our Lord Jesus Christ as King of Israel conferred the authority of Chief Steward (Prime Minister) on St Peter in Matthew 16

[16] Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God. [17] And Jesus answering, said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. [18] And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [19] And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven."

Since the position of Prime Minister in all Kingdoms has been carried on from Hebraic Tradition through to today, what Francis is trying to give away is actually far more authoritative than he is willing to admit (More communist than authoritarian Judaic Catholic). Matthew 16 can be seen to be a deliberate quotation from Isaiah 22:22. This is how the followers of Christ realized that Our Lord was giving St Peter the task of being His Prime Minister/ Chief Steward. It was a Priestly position (according to the Aramaic Targums) wherein the holder of "the Keys" was granted full authority over the Kings Realms to govern in His place, like Modern Prime Ministers in fact, to Bind and Loose all laws as the King's appointed, Priestly lawful second in command. The office always subsequently passed from person to person with the "giving of the Keys"

This is part of the Sacred Tradition of the Catholic Church - which has been handed down to us from the Apostles. People such as Dr Stephen Ray have done informative videos on the topic. His Footprints of God - episode "Peter" can be seen on "Gloria TV"
The Footprints of God: Peter Keeper of the Keys

There are also lectures available by other key Catholic Apolgists covering the topic of Peter, the Keys and the Chair" on Youtube. Speakers such as Dr Stephen Ray, Dr Scott Hahn, and Dr Brant Pitre.

BrTomFordeOFMCap Pope Benedict XVI is the only post-conciliar Pope (and still a pope) who restored (made the attempt) the papacy's splendor and the importance of all dogmas and truths of Catholic faith.

Actually Pope Benedict XVI (O those halcyon days) put this on the table during his own papacy.
