Arlington Carmel: Lawsuit Dismissed

A Texas judge dismissed on June 30 the lawsuit brought by the Arlington Carmelites against Fort Worth Bishop Michael Olson. The suit accused Olson of theft, defamation, and abuse of power. The judge ruled that he had no jurisdiction over the case. In respons to the decision, Olson said that this was an internal Church matter that didn't belong in the civil courts. The sisters will appeal.
