Diversionary Tactic: German Bishops Will "Not" Declare Schism
"There will be no schism, and none of the bishops in Germany has ever wanted one," wrote Bishop Heiner Wilmer of Hildesheim in Communio.de (28 February).
Wilmer, a smart and slim homosex-activist in blue jeans, acts like a politician, and one can only believe a politician when he denies something.
He was to be prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, but after internal opposition Francis appointed the pornographer Tucho Fernández.
In his article, Wilmer argues for more "open discussion" [=denial of the faith] and "mutual understanding" [=lack of understanding for Catholics] and "trust" between the German dioceses and other countries, including the Vatican. He wants to avoid the narrative of "Rome against Germany" or "Germany against Rome".
Wilmer went on to say that the German bishops are loyal [German: "loyal"] to the Pope. The term "loyal" comes from French "loi" (law) and conceals a legalistic misunderstanding of the Church. With "Pope" Wilmer excludes all popes, except Francis.
Just the day before, another German bishop, Monsignor Bertram Meier of Augsburg - a so-called "conservative" who celebrates Roman Rite ordinations for the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter - declared at an ecumenical meeting that "no church has leased the truth". Thus, he admitted that his group has lost contact with the truth and therefore with Christ who is the truth.
