Brick Parade.( St Marys Assumption Church).
This is the actual date of the 150th anniversary. The Brick Parade began at 6:30pm Thursday June 24th 2010. The parishioners gathered at the park to witness and participate."Brick Parade" - to commemorate how our ancestor woman carried bricks to the site of St. Mary's Church in their aprons. When the horse-drawn wagons bogged down in the mud the women trudged their way through the mud to the wagons, loaded their aprons, and brought them to the construction site. That's why we are selling aprons along with the T-shirts.
