Indeed, in communion with her grieving and dying Son, she endured pain and almost death; she abdicated the rights of mother over her Son to achieve the salvation of men; and, to appease divine justice, as far as she depended on Her, she immolated her Son, so that it can be said, with reason, that she redeemed the human lineage with Christ_. *Pius XII*: "God having wanted that, _in the realization of human redemption_, the Blessed Virgin Mary _was inseparablely united with Christ, so much so that our salvation is the fruit of the charity of Jesus Christ and his sufferings intimately associated with the love and pains of his Mother_, it is entirely reasonable that the Christian people, who _have received from Jesus the divine life through Mary_, after the due tributes to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, also demonstrate to the most loving Heart of the heavenly Mother the corresponding feelings of piety, love, thanksgiving and reparation."
