Vatican Vetoes Dean – Allows His Teaching Anyway

The Congregation for Education has vetoed the appointment of immoral theologian Father Martin Lintner as the new Dean at the PTH Brixen, a theology school in South Tyrol, Italy. The congregation told Bozen Bishop Ivo Muser of their concerns about Lintner's belief on homosexual sins. He wants to "bless" homosexuals and thinks that homosexual acts do not lose their "dignity" because of infertility. PthSta.it (June 26) writes that the Vatican's decision “does not affect Lintner's teaching duties or ecclesiastical authority.” On the contrary, not being dean, Lintner has more time to invent heresies.

A good pope would have reduced him to the lay state.
