A new report from Human Rights Watch has accused Israel of war crimes, after its forces displaced up to 32,000 residents in the Jenin, Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps under "Operation Iron Wall" in January and February. The non-profit watchdog has described it as the largest-ever displacement in the occupied West Bank. HRW has called for urgent international measures to hold Israeli officials accountable and stop further abuses. The Geneva Conventions prohibit the displacement of civilians from occupied territory, except temporarily for imperative military reasons or for their own security.
