Neo-Cardinal On Married Priests, “There Will Be A Way”

There will be a way for married priests, Neo-Cardinal Leonardo Steiner, 71, of Manaus, Brazil, told Kath.ch (21 August).

He knows that there are “centuries-old” [rather: apostolic] explanations for celibacy. Nevertheless, he wants to continue to question it.

Steiner gives the impression that abolishing celibacy would lead to more priests and flourishing communities ("needs of our communities", "Eucharist only twice a year", "not depriving people of sacramental life").

Once celibacy is abolished, these prelates will realise that ecclesiastical decadence cannot be abolished with their strategy of abolition.

Funnily enough Batzing suggested Francis is done with the celibacy debate and Francis supported Ouellet's conference which supported it.
Thankfully Steiner is one of only view modernist cardinals who will be appointed this year.

The only way we will have more vocations is when there will be larger families, and also when parents along with their children start attending Holy Mass and the Sacrament of Confession. Married Clergy is a scapegoat! It's just to destroy!
