The Italian modernist Enzo Bianchi, 80, has founded a new community with five men and two women (Avvenire.it, September 9). It is called Casa Madia and located in Albiano d'Ivrea, Piedmont. Bianchi founded in 1965 the ecumenical monastic community of Bose, Piedmont (80 members). The two communities are less than an hour's drive apart, but have apparently found a peaceful coexistence. Francis ordered Bianchi Francis to leave Bose (2020) after conflicts with his successor (2017) followed by an Apostolic Visitation.
