“Nihil Obstat” of Vatican for Medjugorje Without Judging on Truth of Alleged Messages

Tucho Fernández, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Destruction of the Faith, has "approved" the false apparitions of Medjugorje without approving them.

With Francis' approval, given on August 28, Tucho decided that the Holy Spirit is acting "for the good of the faithful 'in the midst' of this spiritual phenomenon of Medjugorje".

The diocesan bishop is encouraged to promote the pastoral value even through pilgrimages to Medjugorje.

Tucho approves of the "devotion associated with Medjugorje, recognizing the abundant spiritual fruits" but "without making a declaration on the alleged supernatural character of the Marian apparitions".

Furthermore, Tucho does not "imply any judgment on the moral life of the alleged visionaries". He mentions some confusing messages of Medjuguorje, but leaves out the worst problems, but admits that the 'Gospa' (alleged Our Lady) reacted irritated when her instructions were not followed.

Furthermore, the 'Gospa' wanted to control even in details the local parish down to the details, including decisions on ordinary matters.

In recent decades, the local bishops have always stated that the apparitions are false. One of the main problems is that they promised the healing of a boy, which didn't happen. In addition, most of the "messages" are banal and boring including divulging apostatic heresies such as "all religions are equal before God".

@en.news When the Lady appearing in Medjugorje said ''All religions are equal before God'' ? (Helpful tip: Never)
Quote from a reliable list of messages from Medjugorje: (The Virgin Mary said) ''Certainly, all religions are not equal''

I had an exchange on this subject matter. The last comment is my main refutation of that claim. Strickland goes to Medjugorje (misspelled in his post)

''You are all equal before my Son…''. This is coherent with the fact that we have a soul, and souls are created spirits, analogous to angels, who are also spirits created by God.
The quote "All religions are equal before God" comes from a question asked to a seer (Ivanka or Vicka), it was something like: Do all religions are equal to God? The teen girl answered with her personal understanding at the time and said, "All religions are equal before God''; therefore, these words cannot be put in the mouth of the Virgin Mary. They are not part of a message written down after one of the apparitions, whether the apparitions are genuine or not.

I am not into oversimplification of complex events, especially when human psychology meets potential supernatural communications. On top of that, we are talking about Yugoslavian/Bosnian teens or very young adults, welcoming crowds of visitors. They spent a lot of time answering loads of questions, especially Vicka, and I can tell you that none of them received the gift of infuse science unlike Padre Pio and some others.
I know it because, toward the end of the 1990s, I read at least four books on Medjugorje, enough to get a good picture of these events. I saw videos, and I met people who went there.
My appreciation of all this makes me think that if I were to ask a question to one of the seers, I wouldn’t expect a direct quote from the Virgin Mary, especially if the question was not previously asked to the Virgin Mary herself, even in a context where the authenticity of the apparitions would be taken for granted.
Like most people, a young seer, while elaborating on a question, could easily confuse ‘’all religions’’ with ‘’people of all religions’’. A seer could be unaware the Will of God concerning universal conversion to Catholicism.
The Madonna said that religions are separated on earth, but the people of all religions are accepted by her Son.”
I don’t see any major problem with that answer, generally speaking, even if I believe there are exceptions for people of other religions and denominations.
I explained not exhaustively my position, but still with several points, in an exchange on this page:
Pray for Protestants in Purgatory
It starts with my comment, commencing with ''If a Protestant...’’.

@The Wandering Recluse
In the context of an authentic apparition, a basic seer (no other gift received) is only someone who has seen and heard a heavenly being.
He doesn't know more than he can remember correctly. There is a reason why after each allege apparition, there was a reunion to write down the core of the Virgin Mary's message.
I know that many people will hold a basic seer as a permanent divine oracle.
Even if the seers answered thousands of questions about what they experienced, some people will only report an imprecise and underdeveloped answer to a tricky (requiring caution or skill) question.
By the way, you almost went so far as to add a name to the list of seers (Svetozar Krljevic O.F.M.).
''Contradict infallible doctrine, contradict scripture'' Which ones?

Did you read this page yourself?
None of the three verses on Virgo Sacrata affirms the damnation of the soul of those who haven’t been Evangelized.
John 17:21 Content: Prayer for the Apostles and their successors, for their unity in the future.
Ephesians 4:3-5 Content: Instruction for the Church, for unity of spirit in peace. There is one God and one Church.
John 14:6. Content: All the elects will go to the Eternal Father through the action of His Son.
Even if many will be deprived of the benefit of Salvation in Hell, the fact that the Work of Redemption is for everyone and that the Son of God suffers for all men is strongly and repeatedly affirmed in the Divinely inspired Holy Scriptures:
1 Timothy 2:5-6 “For there is one God, and one mediator of God and men, the man Christ Jesus: Who gave himself [as] a redemption for all, a testimony in due times”.
1 Timothy 4:10 “... we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.”
John 1:29 Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world
1 John 2:2 "He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father has sent his Son as the Savior of the world.”

@frawley Medjugorje apparitions and website Virgo Sacrata.
The author of the page on V. Sacrata has malicious intent. Look at this. Only one short message on his page is actually a direct quote from the Virgin Mary:
The Blessed Mother has said, ''Tell everyone that it is you who are divided on earth. The Moslems and the Orthodox, for the same reason as Catholics, are equal before my Son and me.”
It is true that human beings are divided on Earth, right?
Then the rest is only about the people, without any consideration related to the value of their mentioned religions. The message conveniently ends there. Now look at the original message:
On the matter of a Catholic priest, confused because of the cure of an Orthodox child:
Tell this priest, tell everyone, that it is you who are divided on earth. The Muslims and the Orthodox, for the same reason as Catholics, are equal before my Son and me. You are all my children. Certainly, all religions are not equal, but all men are equal before God, as St. Paul says. It does not suffice to belong to the Catholic Church to be saved, but it is necessary to respect the commandments of God in following one's conscience.
Those who are not Catholics are no less creatures made in the image of God and destined to rejoin, someday, the House of the Father. Salvation is available to everyone, without exception. Only those who refuse God deliberately are condemned. To him, who has been given little, little will be asked for. To whomever has been given much,
much will be required. It is God alone, in His infinite justice, Who determines the degree of responsibility and pronounces judgment. (C 128). All 1300 messages from the beginning until today on one page
’Certainly, all religions are not equal, but all men are equal before God, as St. Paul says.’’ - The Lady appearing in Medjugorje
When someone is talking about the equal worth of the souls created by God (mentioning the three local religions in Bosnia), it is extremely dishonest to cut the message exactly where he affirms the inequality of their religions.
How deceitful one must be to fabricate such deception! The author is surely inspired by the father of lies and not by the Holy Spirit!
--------------------------------------------------
Another thing: the author of the V. Sacrata page quotes the most exaggerated claim concerning the Petrine Ministry in history.
We declare, say, define, and pronounce that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff.”
(I assume that everyone here knows this: if one is not saved, he will be cast into Hell for his eternal damnation.)
Here, I will not talk about the incertitude concerning the pontificate of Boniface VIII because some others made EENS declarations.
Even in the Middle Age, people in the Catholic world were surprised that the Pope could dare to doctrinally present his role in such way. I will add it in paraphrase to the discourse of the Apostle Peter in Jerusalem to see if that makes any sense.
Acts 2:14-18
‘’But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and said to them: Men of Judea, and all you that dwell in Jerusalem, be this known to you, and hearken to my words.
For these are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is the third hour of the day;
but this is that which was spoken through the prophet Joel:
And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream swevens;
and indeed on my servants and on my handmaids will I pour out in those days of my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.’’

Fictional: - And from now on, anyone on Earth who is not my subject will go to Hell, because to be my subject is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature!! 😱
Ouch!
At the end of my previous comment to The Wandering Recluse, there is five verses concerning the Divine Work of Salvation.
The papal declarations on V. Sacrata's page are not receivable as dogmas because they are not linked to Apostolic Traditions, nor Holy Scriptures.
We should always keep this in mind:
THE DOGMATIC DECREES OF THE VATICAN COUNCIL CONCERNING THE CATHOLIC FAITH AND THE CHURCH OF CHRIST. A.D. 1870.
’And the Roman Pontiffs, according to the exigencies of times and circumstances, sometimes assembling œcumenical Councils, or asking for the mind of the Church scattered throughout the world, sometimes by particular Synods, sometimes using other helps which Divine Providence supplied, defined as to be held those things which, with the help of God they had recognized as conformable with the sacred Scriptures and Apostolic traditions. For the Holy Spirit was not promised to the successors of Peter, that by their revelation they might make known new doctrine; but that by their assistance they might inviolably keep and faithfully expound the revelation or deposit of faith delivered through the Apostles.’’
Popes sometimes contradict themselves (Saint Nicholas the Great versus Innocent IV), but the Holy Spirit never contradicts himself.
I have more to say if you are interested, but I will stop here to keep it short.

“What a tangled web we weave, when first we practise to deceive.”

Our Lady is NOT an alchemist, nor would she ever say that all religions will get you into Heaven.

Denis Efimov

The Vatican is completely occupied by adherents of the conciliar-synodal religion. Everything he says or does, he does within and in line with this new religion. The other day they came up with new sins for their religion, the sin of doctrine, the sin of indifference in the face of drama, the sin of not hearing, the sin against synodality and several more. Oh yes, and they also believe that all "religions" lead to God. What do Catholics care about their statements?

Denis Efimov

Wow, a pornographer, a heretic, and an apostate has spoken his mind. Very interesting (no). Although for the millions of heretics, apostates, liberals, sodomites, and modernists who think they are Catholic and have their bodies in the Church, perhaps his opinion carries some weight.

Danger ahead - proceed with caution.

The Vatican document refers to this "treasure of Medjugorje" and then goes on to list the lies and nonsense in some detail. Laugh? I thought I'd never start... 😉
