The Tallest Christ of the World (Pictures)

The Christ of Peace statue in Tabasco county, Mexico, was blessed on Easter Sunday, in the presence of the governor of Zacatecas state and other politicians.

The 33-metre high sculpture stands on a pedestal and is the largest statue of its kind in Mexico. The statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio, Brazil, is 30 metres high.

Miguel Romo, the artist who created Christ of Peace, likes his work, especially the face, and calls the statue in Rio "a bit geometric."
