Francis' Stooge At Order Of Malta Has Died UPDATE

Giacomo Dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, 75, the 80th Grand Master of the Order of Malta, has been diagnosed with throat cancer, he wrote in a February 24 letter to the Order’s Council.

The letter was published in the Francis outlet IlMessagero.it (April 28) alongside with the information that Dalla Torre’s condition is worsening.

Dalla Torre was elected in 2018, after Francis forced out Dalla Torre's predecessor Fra Matthew Festing, a Catholic.

Even IlMessagero.it calls Festing a "man of integrity" but little inclined to the "liberal vision" introduced by Francis.

UPDATE: The Grand Magisterium has announced, with deep sorrow, the death of His Most Eminent Highness the Prince and 80th Grand Master, Fra' Giacomo Dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, in Rome shortly after midnight on 29 April, following an incurable illness diagnosed a few months ago.
