This is one of the saddest videos that I have seen. Cardinal Burke is a bit older than I. That means that he experienced a vibrant Church in America in the late 40s through the 50s up until the 60s. AND then Vat II (whose raison d'être I did not understand until I entered an American Church after a stay in Europe and heard a teenage rock band playing the musical component of the Vat II liturgy--THEN I understood and left the sacrilege for fresh air). The Cardinal has dedicated his life to a once exuberant Faith and now its Vicar is so deviating from doctrine and a worthy papal behavior that a cardinal, yes, a cardinal might oppose the Pope in someway. Do note that Cardinal Burke made it clear not to make Pope Francis into an enemy, something tradionalists at all levels have come to fear from the Pope of mercy, mercy, except for those holding to the Faith beyond time. There is at the moment little internal peace in me, relative to which the Pope shows no mercy, only insults to my religiosity. Cardinal Burke is really a Hero of the Faith before whom I bow in deepest respect.
