Roman Rite: Arlington Carmelites Turn to Suspended Priests for Mass

The Carmelite nuns of Arlington, Texas, are receiving the sacraments from two suspended priests, Bishop Michael Olson of Fort Worth announced on 18 July.

According to Monsignor Olson, the two are Father Christopher Clay and Father Marshall Roberts. Both priests are accused of homosexual abuse of minors [but should have been convicted if these were truly the case].

They belonged to the former Society of St John. This group was founded in 1997 by dismissed members of the Priestly Fraternity of St Pius X. It was involved in some scandals of homosexual and financial nature, and was suppressed in 2004. Roberts was one of the founders of the group.

The Arlington nuns and Bishop Olson have been in an ongoing dispute since May 2023 that has been bitter and at times bizarre. The diocese filed a complaint about drug abuse in the monastery, but the police closed the investigation.

The bishop had the Carmel searched for evidence. Therefore, the nuns filed a lawsuit against the diocese for trespassing, but it was dismissed by a court in July 2023. Another case brought by the nuns was withdrawn by the nuns themselves.

The superior of the nuns has admitted on tape to having had telephone sex with a priest of the Raleigh diocese who lived for a time with the Transalpine Redemptorists.

The Vatican initially appointed Olsen [=the enemy] as delegate for the monastery. In April 2024 the leadership was transferred on paper to the president of the Carmelite association 'Christ the King'.

These nuns are digging their own graves if, among the hundreds of good young traditional minided priests from the SSPX, FSSP, ICRSP or sedevacanist groups they pick two suppended priests accused of being homos is sick beyond words. I lost all support or sympathy for them if they did this,
