After Germany, Italy: Irish Church Starts National Synod

The local Bishops Conference is planning a national synod for the Church in Ireland “in the near future,” TheTablet.co.uk reported (March 1).

A subcommittee of six bishops is working on the initiative. They have met with homosexualist Cardinal Mario Grech, the secretary General of the Synod of Bishops.

Similar initiatives in Germany and Italy are pushing for female deacons, married priests, Protestant Communion, homosex, and adultery.
