Cardinal Müller at Consistory: "We Must Respond to the Lefebvrists"

Cardinal Gerhard Müller spoke at the June 26 consistory about the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX), IlGiornale.it reports.

He addressed the FSSPX's allegations that the Vatican has deviated from the Church's magisterium. Cardinal Müller proposed preparing a response to the Fraternity that would affirm that Rome has never abandoned the path of Catholicism, contrary to their claims.

He also said that, following Wednesday's episcopal consecrations, many Lefebvrists would seek to enter into full canonical communion with the Church.

The Vatican should prepare to welcome them back by proposing a structure modelled on the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, which was established by Pope John Paul II in 1988.

Cardinal Müller's intervention was received without comment during the session.

No Boanerges this is good, in a way, we can see exactly who card. Muller is, number 1 and #2 he has tasted their silence, they don’t want conservatives flocking from the fsspx, on the contrary, they pushed this schism for years. They will claim conservatives sought schism 1st, now they will truly persecute ANYONE who is a traditionalist inside the Church, no more masks.
I fully believe that perhaps they will not stop excommunications with fsspx, they will engulf some people who are critical as well, such thing (an excommunication by a false prophet), is a badge of honor for any true faithful... NOW, on Muller, he will open his eyes like Vigano did, let’s just pray its sooner rather than later.
