Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz (SPD) hat dem ungarischen Ministerpräsidenten Viktor Orban abgesprochen, bei seinem Besuch in Moskau die EU zu vertreten. Der Europäische Rat, dessen Vorsitz Ungarn am Montag übernommen hatte, werde vom EU-Außenbeauftragten vertreten, sagte Scholz.

"Essentially, we are moving towards a stalemate. Gradually, we are reaching a point where neither side can gain a lasting advantage. This is similar to the situation in 1916-1917 during the World War I. According to classical theory, a gridlock provides the foundation for peace negotiations," Stupak explained.
According to the military expert, it was mentioned that representatives of Russia may attend the next peace conference.
"It's clear that Putin won't be there. However, figures like Medinsky, Patrushev, or other delegates from Russia could participate. This would be a first step towards beginning to end this war. The Russians are weary, and their economy is suffering. We've seen a hypothetical plan for peace talks or peace proposals put forward by Dmytro Gordon. People may have different views on this, but it appears quite plausible," Stupak added.
