Who is Stephan Bandera? Considered by some to be a hero of Ukrainian Patriotism and to others a National Socialist.

The massacres organised on popular Catholic Feasts (e.g. Feb 2 - Purification of BVM, Holy Week and Easter, Immaculate Conception Day, Bloody Sunday - July 11th, 1943 when several churches were attacked during Holy Masses and in other murderers missed their target because priests had been warned by some good Ukrainian neighbours) were impurely satanic.
Catholic priests were tortured and cruelly murdered.
Even the coming of the Soviet front (Feb/March of 1944) and the withdrawal of Germans did not stop the "rezuns" from massacres for example in the popular Our Lady shrine (monastery and church) in Podkamien.

@V.R.S. Good points! Thanks for your insights. And to think, the present government in Kiev has declared him a national hero and Zelenski led the ceremony highly praising him and unveiling his statue at the Monument to Ukrainian Nationalism.

Sometimes history is confusing. We need to differentiate between Bandera who was anti-communist (and therefore anti-Jewish communist) from present Banderites who are simply anti Russian.

@Just me The Bandara ultra-nationalists have also killed Ukrainians who had Russian ancestry and Jews and Polish who were not Communists. They believe they are of Aryan stock and destined to rule Ukraine. This is largely a myth to attempt to distinguish themselves from other ethnic Ukrainians. If the They did 23 and Me DNA tests they would show a large percentage of Slovic ancestry, just like Russians …More
