Stab in the Back: Apostolic Visitation In “Conservative” Cologne Archdiocese
Francis has ordered an Apostolic Visitation for Cologne Archdiocese, Germany, which will take place in June. The visitators are Stockholm Cardinal Anders Aborelius, 71, and Rotterdam Bishop Hans van den Hende, 57, who presides the Dutch Bishops.
Cologne Archdiocese is run by “conservative” Cardinal Rainer Maria Woelki, 64. For months, he has been the victim of an insane media campaign against his person. In March, Woelki published an independent report on his handling of homosexual abuse cases, which completely cleared him of any "cover-up" suspicion.
Woelki took several steps concerning sexual abuse, signing, for instance, an agreement with the federal government’s Independent Commissioner for Dealing with Sexual Abuse of Minors.
Cologne is Germany’s largest and one of the richest dioceses of the world. Woelki is hated by the oligarchs' media because he has dared to criticise the German Synod.
