The Synodal Pope
"Indeed, an outcome which pleases the likes of Bishops Strickland and Fr. James Martin is quite remarkable. Until recent years, the possibility of such an outcome was almost non-existent – barring a mass conversion of dissidents to true Catholicism. Thanks to the acceleration of revolutionary error under Pope Francis, however, the possibility of a consensus among polarised Catholic groups has presented itself and has seemingly materialised with the election of Pope Leo XIV. The mechanism for the change is one of the long-held goals of Vatican II: what is now known as ‘Synodality’. "

Thank you for posting this excellent, realistic article.

"Synodal Pope" is an oxymoron (as in holy satan). Please let's not offend papacy.

There is proper Catholic Synodality (gatherings of bishops in communion with the Holy See) and improper synodality. Unfortunately Francis was pushing the improper one )that which consists of not only bishops but all sorts of lay people and religious.

Unfortunately no one uses it in that context. "Synodality" is used today almost exclusively as a code word for One world religion just like "clericalism" is used as a code word for attacking the priesthood and Catholic Church.

Burke (1) isn't ultra anything - just Catholic (2) Burke's words are very carefully chosen and do not indicate much of anything with regard to his opinion. Sort of : I pray things go well..........nothing more
remember Burke is a lawyer par excellence
