Probably one of the few religious Orders of nuns in France that recieve vocations. There are a few affiliated to the SSPX that always have a good flow of vocations. But some Orders which really were huge foundations in Francie and elsewhere pre-Vatican II are now supremely aged communities of radical femminist dissenting nuns. For instance, the Daughters of Wisdom had 5,500 members before Vatican II--today, 986. The Religious of Our Lady of Retreat in the Cenacle had 2,000 members pre-Vatican II. Today, 340, The Sisters of the Good Shepherd, 12,000 pre-Vatican II, today, 2,811....Sisters of Mary Reparatrix-pre=Vatican II, 2,200...today, 344. Finally, the Religious of the Sacred Heart, founded by St. Madeline Sophie Barat, a nun so holy and who accomplished such great work with her Order that she has her statue in St. Peters.....pre-Vatican II-7,800. Today, 1,700. In all these Orders, the average age of the sisters in between 78-85. This is the legacy of Vatican II......and can be repeated 2,000x order for once great Orders around the world.
