STOP BEING AFRAID OF LOSING PEOPLE.
And start understanding that you, too, are a great loss.
You were not born to beg for a place in someone’s life, nor to chase someone who doesn’t know how to appreciate your presence.
Sometimes, we cling so tightly to certain people that we forget to ask ourselves:
“What am I losing of myself by trying so hard not to lose you!”
You lose your peace of mind.
You lose your dignity.
You lose your time.
You lose the opportunity to meet people who truly know how to stay.
Don’t be afraid to close a door when all you find behind it is indifference.
Don’t be afraid to walk away when staying means continuing to break yourself.
Because you, too, have something to offer.
You have a heart that knows how to love genuinely, a loyalty that isn’t easy to find, and a way of caring that someone, someday, might understand far too late.
You don’t need to prove your worth to anyone.
Someone who truly appreciates you doesn’t need to lose you to realize how important you are.
And if someone decides to leave, let them go.
Not because it doesn’t hurt, but because you’ve learned that self-love also means accepting when you are no longer the one being chosen.
You are irreplaceable in the lives of those who truly love you.
And even if someone finds another person, they will never find exactly your way of hugging, listening, caring, or being there for them.
You are you.
Unique, imperfect, with wounds, virtues, mistakes, and a heart that has survived so much.
So stop thinking: “What if they lose me!”
Start thinking: “How much longer will I keep losing myself because I’m afraid of losing you!”
If someone doesn’t know how to value the place you hold in their life, don’t turn your life into a constant struggle to convince them.
Keep walking your own path.
Because sometimes, losing someone isn’t really a loss.
Sometimes, it means reclaiming your peace, your dignity, and the version of yourself you had forgotten.
And always remember:
YOU ARE NOT AN OPTION FOR SOMEONE WHO DESERVES TO MAKE YOU A PRIORITY.
YOU, TOO, ARE THE KIND OF BLESSING SOME PEOPLE WILL ONLY RECOGNIZE WHEN IT’S ALREADY TOO LATE.
