Pell Speaks Out What Is Evident
“There probably was a conspiracy against me,” Cardinal George Pell told SlTrib.com (November 18) looking back at his bogus conviction for "sexual abuse."
He never expected to be convicted because there were no supporting witnesses for the complainant. Even the witnesses for the prosecution gave evidence against the complainant.
During his time in prison, Pell had a TV, a shower and a toilet, and plaid ping pong by himself by putting the second half of the table upright. Visitors flew even from Europe to visit him in prison.
During his dark hours, Pell remembered what he had told other people stricken with misfortune and applied it now to himself, like, “Jesus was God, and he certainly didn’t get around these, either.”
Regarding the state of the Church, Pell seems to be confused. According to him, the Church is losing “a few” people, is going through a hard patch but is here to stay. He insists that she has to hang on to her heritage and doctrines and pass them on to the next generation “because it’s immensely useful and helps human beings thrive.”
Pell believes that despite the current crisis, “leaders will emerge, reform movements will emerge” [although Francis does everything to prevent a reform and to return to the decadent Sixties].
