"spinmeister" should not be considered a reliable or truthful source in this matter. He hides his true identity. His name is Damien Fisher, and he is a reporter for an online news venue in New Hampshire. He also hides his conflicts of interest. Among them is the fact that he is the husband of Simcha Fisher who works for the Diocese of Manchester as a columnist for Parable magazine which is published by Bishop Peter A. Libasci who has been antagonistic toward Father MacRae.

Nonetheless, "spinmeister" is aptly named. I have studied the Father MacRae case thoroughly and have never seen or heard of any evidence. NH law (RSA 632-a-6) requires no evidence for a sexual assault trial beyond the accusation itself. So no evidence whatsoever was admitted at trial. Evidence of fraud was suppressed. An FBI Special Agent Supervisor who also investigated this case thoroughly concluded, "In my three-year investigation of this matter, I found no evidence that MacRae committed these crimes or any crimes." The Wall Street Journal has been investigating this matter over the last 18 years and has published four major articles on it concluding that the case against Father MacRae was a fraud.

Since, inexplicably, I am not being blocked and since Mr. MacRae is still proclaiming his innocence, I am once again posting the words of his judge at his sentencing:

In 1994 MacRae was convicted of one count of felonious sexual asssault and four counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault. These are the words of the judge who sentenced him:

" I conclude that you, Mr. MacRae, remain an extremely dangerous and high risk sexual offender. The compulsiveness and repetitiveness of your sexual
assault against young boys, documented from 1979 to 1988, the selection and grooming of vulnerable boys and families, the deceitful use of both the authority of a Catholic priest and the corresponding spiritual power that the religion represents, the evidence of your solicitation and prostitution of young men for the gratification of yourself and others of your ilk, the evidence of child pornography and multiple victims, your complete lack of remorse, your aggressive denial of wrongdoing, your merciless attack on the character of the victims who confronted you, the ruthless application of your intelligence, education and experience as a counselor to undermine these children and their families and your total lack of compassion for your victims and the friends you continued to mislead, I considered all of these things in deciding your sentence for the attacks on [JohnDoe XVI]. And I find that the prospects for your rehabilitation are very poor. There is no credible evidence that you have responded to the treatment that you have received.

Throughout these proceedings, I have listened to your witnesses and I have watched you closely. I detect nothing in you at this time that gives me a reasonable basis for releasing you into the community ever. I hope that in the years to come effective treatment will be developed and that you will embrace it. Perhaps you will someday understand the depth and damage of your acts and perhaps we will someday develop the technology to allow you to be released into society and at the same time ensure the safety of the children and families that you prey upon. But I am not persuaded that we have the knowledge or technology today and I will not put this communities' children at risk for your benefit. "

If you could find true information related to Mr MacRae's disgusting and despicable behavior surrounding his conviction 39 years ago, I doubt you would have him writing on your site. But it is almost impossible to wade through the literally thousands of entries written by Mr MacRae which completely exonerate him and possibly set him up for future canonization.
