On July 15th, Dominican Deacon Robert Krishna OP will be ordained a priest by Sydney Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP, reports catholicweekly.com.au.
Robert was born a Hindu in Bangalore, India, but at the age of ten became an atheist and in his late teen years an agnostic. At 18 he started to study science in Sydney. Three years later, in 2001, he fell into a depression realising that human life means nothing without God.
Krishna started frequenting an Anglican Church and received baptism there in September 2002. Then he met Catholic students and was converted “through their example and conversations, rather than through their arguments”. In 2010 he applied and was accepted into the Dominican Order.
