Dead Accuser of Archbishop Was Homosexual
John Toves, the first to accuse former Guam Archbishop Anthony S. Apuron of “abuses” died in California on April 17.
Toves provided testimony to a Vatican tribunal in Apuron's canonical trial.
He died in hospice care in Foster City from liver cancer according to his longtime boyfriend Antonio M. Salas, a former Capuchin Franciscan friar.
