The spokesman of the Polish Bishops' Conference, the Jesuit Leszek Gęsiak, issued a statement on 21 December according to which homosexual couples "cannot be blessed" despite Francis' claims to the contrary.
As justification, Gęsiak cites what every mature Catholic knows, including Fernández and Francis: "Sexual acts outside of marriage ... are always a violation of the will and wisdom of God, as expressed in the sixth commandment."
It is "practically impossible" to avoid confusion with marriage, Gęsiak adds. He refers to Francis' own [self-contradictory] scribble that rites and prayers are "unacceptable" if they could cause difficulties in discerning what is constitutive of marriage.

The African bishops have refused, and the Polish bishops, now the Greek Catholic Ukrainians . . . and a UK Conference of Priests. It looks like some in the Vatican have gone too far this time.
