Diane Montagna Leaves LifeSiteNews.com

The American born journalist Diane Montagna resigned as Rome correspondent for LifeSiteNews.com.

Writing on Twitter (March 31), she mentions “differences of editorial approach,” and wants to “pursue other challenges and opportunities.” Montagna was closely involved in the first revelations of Whistleblower Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganó.

She expresses her gratitude for having had the opportunity to work for LifeSiteNews.com.

I would like to now more why she left and what her new work is going to be. I ask if it has anything to do with her position on Pope Benedict XVI or if she thinks with the Churches shutting down, that a career as a journalist covering the Church no longer looks like a good prospect?

Thanks Live Mike, I know that already. But that is very vague. I hope she gives an interview to anyone and says more.

I surmise that Ms. Montagna--one of the best and ever Catholic of Vaticanistas--had an editorial falling out with Mr. Westen. Mr. Westen is a Francis-Forever kind of guy (like UV here) while Ms. Montagna is wandering off the res on that point.
Fact is, we have two popes today, wearing white, living in Vatican, giving apostolic blessings (well at least the Catholic one does).

Ms. Montagna probably prefers the Catholic one. For me and my house, we choose the Catholic one: ¡Viva il Papa!

¡VIVA! Benedetto! And: Viva Cristo Rey!

Correction: I'm not a "Francis Forever" anything. I don't like Francis. I've said so enough times. You've been a member on GTV longer than I have, so you can't claim ignorance as an excuse. By now it's fair to say comments like yours are displays of the same selective perception and "fact-filter" you have towards the Papacy itself.

Everything that doesn't fit your fantasy world-view goes in one ear and, finding nothing to slow its path, goes straight out the other.

Since you're talking Papal criteria BrotherBeowulf let's cover some old ground. First, there's only one Pope and, like it or not, it's Francis. Benedict XVI resigned. Just about claim you try repeating has already been tried before and refuted.. I'm more than willing to let you climb in the ring. Just don't expect me to pull my punches.

Wearing white...
Pope Emeritus Benedict himself has discussed this and he seems to be directly replying to dudes like you. "In any case, I wear the white cassock in a visibly different way to how the Pope wears it. This is another case of completely unfounded speculations being made."

That's word for word. Notice the part where he says it's "another case of completely unfounded speculations".

Notice also (and this is the really important part) he makes a distinct reference to "the Pope" when referring to someone else.

Not "a Pope" or "Popes" in general, which might imply multiple Popes co-existing. He said the Pope. Benedict was talking about he wears his white cassock differently from that guy.. the Pope.. Benedict's own words show he understands there is only ONE Pope and he ain't it.

Living in the Vatican....
Who else lives in the Vatican? Do you know?

www.quora.com/Who-lives-in-the-Vatican-city

Using that criterion of yours, some nuns would even qualify for being Pope. :P

Apostolic Blessings...
Protip: Bishops can give an Apostolic Blessing.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostolic_blessing

That was easy, eh? :D

One thing you didn't mention, something the whole silly "Francis doesn't real" crowd simply chooses to ignore.

Only the Pope wears the Fisherman's Ring. It's unique to the Pope. When the Pope dies (or resigns) his ring is defaced.

Here's a super sharp high-res close-up of Benedict XVI's Papal Ring back when he was the Pope.. In this photo, his Papal title is even legible.

That is NOT his Papal Ring.

Benedict doesn't wear his Papal Ring anymore for two remarkably simple reasons: 1.) it was defaced 2.) he isn't the Pope.

Again, this is all old news. I've corrected every point you've raised (again) almost as often as I have with the same false accusations that I support the current Pope. I recognize Francis is Pope. So does Cardinals Sarah, Burke, Zen along with Archbishop Vigano and a whole bunch of other people who don't like Pope Francis any more than I do.

Comprende?

Oh look... anti-Semitic content on a Catholic news portal. Nothing says "love thy neighbor" like that junk. I guess you just ignore Matthew 22:37-39, amirite?

Let Merriam Webster get their punctuations right before trying to define any word.
Just sack your current English teacher.

Find somewhere online and start a fresh English course.

If I "find somewhere online" then GTV is just as good as any other place. You meant "Find somewhere else online..." You wouldn't make that mistake if you knew how to write English correctly. You can't even troll without making a fool out of yourself.
Pattfm
GTV is a news site. "else" ❌

If you tell me to "find somewhere online" and I post here, then I'm doing what you suggested. You don't even understand what you're trying to "correct". You're trying to troll in a language you barely understand.

What is the more serious question for those who want to save their souls is whether the new rite of ordination is valid. Also, whether or not your baptism was valid. You will need to get a conditional baptism and re-confess your sins to a valid priest.

Some believe that "there hasn't been a legitimate pope since the 19th century." Then those some can easily be convinced that Our Lady of GOOD SUCCESS said that her dogma will be defined in the middle of the 20th century... If you still know any site that thinks like that, let me know privately.

Then others think that Pope Pius XII, A single man, Leo XIII and others that Solidified religion were all knowing but failed to prevent, having foreshadowed what their assistants were plotting (VII, by their different changes)... They were surrounded by serpents who couldn't bite them.
Just look at the case of Pope Pius XII and the person who poisoned him.

Good for her. Lifesitenews is not Catholic, hence their "Catholic" section. They work with the enemies and promote religious indifference.
