After FOUR Years: Falsely Accused Priests Acquitted

The spectacular accusations against the two monks of the Cristo Orante Monastery in Tupungato, Argentina, for “abusing” a former novice has fallen apart, writes ElSol.com.ar (December 21).

The two victims of the justice system, Fathers Oscar Portillo and Diego Roqué, were arrested in December 2018, paraded before the media and prejudged by them.

The anti-Catholic Archbishop of Mendoza, Marcelo Colombo, 61, was happy to immediately close their monastery.

Now the judge of the criminal court Diego Lusverti has confirmed in the second instance that there is no evidence against the two priests.

The prosecution and the calumniator's lawyers can now appeal to the Supreme Court.

No surprise: Archbishop Colombo did not overturn the unjust punishment of the innocent monks.
