His Excellency Right Rev. Antonio Garcia, Bishop of Tuy, one of the signatories of the Collective Letter of the Spanish Hierarchy of July 1st 1937, has summed up in striking language the essential features of the present struggle in the world. He had a splendid opportunity of seeing the Spanish phase of it. Mgr. Garcia writes as follows: “It is evident that the present conflict is one of the most terrible wars waged by Antichrist, that is, by Judaism, against the Catholic Church and against Christ. And at this crisis in the history of the world, Jewry uses two formidable armies: one secret, namely that of Freemasonry; the other, open and avowed, with hands dripping with blood, that of the Communists and all the other associated bodies, Anarchists, Anarcho-Syndicalists, Socialists, as well as the auxiliary forces, Rotary, and Leagues of Benefaction . . . in which are preached the exclusion of Christ, of His morality and of His doctrine, or in which one hears at least that abstraction is made of such, as if Jesus Christ had not clearly declared: ‘He that is not with me is against me.’

I think we are referring to the heresy of ecumenism which was promoted and pushed by none other than the neo-traditionalist Ratzinger at the VII Council. Every conciliar pope has accepted this as doctrine and promoted its use at Assisi. The Jews are also welcomed into this all-inclusive club since like the other false religions are not required to accept the true faith, which is the Holy Roman Catholic Church. So, you have one doctrine (outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation) and then introduce another one (ecumenism) that is in contradiction. As we all know Our Lord was the fulfillment of the Old Law. There were some Pharisees like Nikodemus and Joseph of Arimathea schooled in the old law who were followers of Jesus, and I'm sure there were other devout Jews who saw no contradiction with Jesus teaching. Really nothing has changed: The Jew are still waiting on the Messiah who will according to them establish the state of Israel and deliver them from political persecution. If they were honest men than they would see that the prophets up to John the Baptist described the signs that would identify Jesus as the Messiah.

tbswv Could you please direct me to your source for claiming that ecumenism is a heresy? Clearly there have been heretical abuses of ecumenism but I have never seen a Church document claiming that ecumenism itself is a heresy. A clear definition of "ecumenism" is helpful. Please pray for me as I pray for you.

@frawley The 1917 Code of Canon Law states: that: " It is not permitted at all for the faithful to assist in any active manner at or to have any part in the worship of non-Catholics." [Canon 1258]

"No one shall pray in common with heretics and schismatics" - Council of Laodicea.

One must neither pray nor sing psalms with heretics, and whoever shall communicate with those who are cut off from the communion of the Church, whether clergy or layman: let him be excommunicated. Council of Carthage

If any ecclesiastic or layman shall go into the synagogue of the Jews or to the meeting-houses of the heretics to join in prayer with them, let them be deposed and deprived of communion. If any bishop or priest or deacon shall join in prayer with heretics, let him be suspended from communion. (III Council of Constantinople)

We decree that those who give credence to the teachings of the heretics, as well as those who receive, defend or patronize them, are excommunicated. [...] If anyone refuses to avoid such accomplices after they have been ostracized by the Church, let them also be excommunicated. (IV Lateran Council)

Pope St. Martin I - If anyone does not with mind and lips reject and anathematize all abominable heretics together with their impious writings, even to the single least portion, let such a person be condemned. (Canon 18, Lateran Council, DNZ: 271-272)

Those who are members of the Church are not to be permitted to go into the cemeteries of any of the heretics for the purpose of prayer or veneration. If they do, they are to be excommunicated. (Council of Laodicea)

Wherefore, since outside the Catholic Church there is nothing perfect, nothing undefiled, the Apostle declaring that "all that is not of faith is sin" (Romans 14:23), we are in no way likened with those who are divided from the unity of the Body of Christ; we are joined in no communion. ( Pope St. Leo the Great)

To know whom to avoid is a great means of saving our souls. [...] Thus, the Church forbids the faithful to communicate with those unbelievers who have forsaken the faith by corrupting it, such as heretics, or by renouncing it, such as apostates. (St. Thomas Aquinas)

Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with different seeds, lest both the seed that thou hast sown and the fruit of the vineyard be sanctified together. (Deut 22:9)

And the good seed are the children of the kingdom; and the cockle are the children of the wicked one. (St. Matthew 13:38)

[14] Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness? [2 Corinthians 6:14]

"Is it permitted for Catholics to be present at, or to take part in, conventions, gatherings, meetings, or societies of non-Catholics which aim to associate together under a single agreement everyone who, in any way, lays claim to the name Christian? In the negative!... It is clear, therefore, why this Apostolic See has never allowed its subjects to take part in the assemblies of non-Catholics, There is only one wav in which the unity of Christians may be fostered, and that is by furthering the return to the one true Church of Christ those who are separated from her. " (Pope Pius XI, Mortalium Animos).

"How does a Catholic sin against faith? A Catholic sins against Faith by Apostasy, heresy, indifferentism and by taking part in non-Catholic worship." (Catechism of the Council of Trent, Catechism of Pope St. Pius X and The Baltimore Catechism).

There are some, you know, who are accustomed to go around with the Name [of Christ] on their lips while they indulge in certain practices at variance with It and an insult to God. You must shun these men as you would wild beasts: they are rabid dogs that bite in secret; you must beware of them! (St. Ignatius of Antioch)

Whoever is separated from the Church must be avoided and fled from; such a man is wrong-headed; he is a sinner and self-condemned. [...] But if some of the leaders of schism persist in their blind and obstinate foolishness, and if advice for their own good fails to bring them back to the way of salvation, let the rest of you [...] break away from their ensnaring falsehood. [...] One must withdraw from those who are engaged in sin; rather, one must fly from them, lest by joining in their evil course and thus taking the wrong road, one should [...] become involved in the same guilt oneself. (St. Cyprian, Church Father)

“The greatest sin today is that men have lost the sense of sin!”
-Pope Pius XII

Why do you think it is necessary to compromise our faith and doctrines in order to engage these lost souls.

Well, you could be more specific, more precise.... or you could think distinctions are for pu...ies or for other schismatic apostates-V-II sect members. I don't know, it puzzles me, many of them are wise-saintly men, I'm very sure, better Christians than 100% of the members of the SSPX, some of them are suffering martyrdom, etc. Are those schismatic apostates? You know, a Sacrament, matter, form and minister, bread and wine, Christ's words and a validly ordained priest: there are millions of Christians who receive that daily, that Sacrament is the sanctifying sign; among these, there are millions who pray the Rosary daily, who read spiritual texts on daily bases, who do hours of mental prayers a day, ETC., ETC., ETC.: are these a bunch of schismatic apostates? I'm sure they are, because you, THE TRAD MAN, say so.... The only Church, Lefebvre said so, is the SSPX. But, beware, don't say I have schismatic tendencies, don't say I slander Christ, don't say I'm a gnostic-donatist "pure". ETC.

No amount of works, desire, or shedding of blood can save those outside the Church.
Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, “Cantate Domino,” 1441, ex cathedra (infallible statement from the chair of Peter): “The Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that all those who are outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless they are joined to the Church before the end of their lives; that the unity of this ecclesiastical body is of such importance that only for those who abide in it do the Church’s sacraments contribute to salvation and do fasts, almsgiving and other works of piety and practices of the Christian militia produce eternal rewards; and that nobody can be saved, no matter how much he has given away in alms and even if he has shed blood in the name of Christ, unless he has persevered in the bosom and unity of the Catholic Church.”

Bishop Carol Wojtyla and his fellow promoters of masonic, religious indifference, did not inform Catholics that their V2 documents, directly opposed our Lord Jesus. Our Holy Christ proclaimed, I have not come to unite, rather to divide, even Father against son.
JP2 and the mentioned movements caused much confusion, because what Catholic can be against: peace, love and brotherhood?

I have not resulted to name calling and insults and have apologized when you have indicated that I had misinterpreted one of your posts. You however have behaved as bullies. You have insulted, slandered and demonized countless on this forum and others in the Body of Christ. You hide behind a facade of saving the Church from its enemies but in reality just take cheap shots at the Church and its members. You have set yourselves up as judge and jury and condemn anyone who fails to meet a standard you have created. You have allowed your hatred for Jews, Church leadership and various Movements in the Church to cloud your judgement. These groups can do nothing right in your eyes. Pope Francis could state that the sun is shining and you would find some evil ulterior motive for him saying it. Throwing around scripture verses that fit your narrative while ignoring the context or verses that do not fit your narrative, I would expect from a street corner fundamentalist not a well educated Roman Catholic. When someone does standup to your reckless vitriol, and questions the gaping holes in your narrative, you play the victim card and refuse to answer, deflect the question or attack the person asking the question. Like most bullies there lies a coward behind the thin veneer. How about putting your big boy pants on and apologizing to all of those you have wronged and then try conducting yourselves in the future like Christian Gentlemen. As always you are in my prayers.
