Holy Year: Archbishop Installed Nightmare in Glasgow Cathedral

Archbishop William Nolan, 70, of Glasgow, Scotland, yesterday installed a newly commissioned cross on the back wall of the sanctuary of the Cathedral St Andrew.

The cross which is completely inappropriate for the site, will remain on display for the next 12 months.

Monsignor Nolan blesses it during the 12 noon Eucharist today, marking the beginning of the Jubilee Year in his cathedral.

The object, designed as a Greek cross with arms of equal length, is made of wood and features the symbols of St Mungo (bird, fish, bell and tree).

In the center is the symbol of the Jubilee 2025, incorporating Francis’ logo of the Pilgrims of Hope.

Where a high altar and tabernacle should be in Glasgow cathedral, they've erected what looks like a blasphemous 'LGBT' Jubilee cross and a set of chairs

This coming Saturday is the First Saturday of the month of January and the First Saturday of 2025. Let's all please, please, please keep this First Saturday as Our Lady asked at Fatima -- receive the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Communion in reparation for all the offenses against Her Immaculate Heart - which would also include the offenses against Her Son's Sacred Heart and especially against Him in the Blessed Sacrament. Let's also pray the Rosary that day and daily in reparation. And, let's plead that Our Lord will send us a HOLY POPE to take control of the Barque of St. Peter - and lead it back into the waterways of the Catholic and Apostolic Faith - including the "Mass of the Ages," Usus Antiquior, restored everywhere!

The devotion for the five first Saturdays of the month is as follows:
1. Confession
2. Communion
3. Praying the Rosary
4. Fifteen minutes meditation on these mysteries.
5. The intention to make reparation.
Our Divine Savior told Saint Lucia of Fatima the five main offenses against the Immaculate Heart of His Most Holy Mother:
1. Blasphemies against Her Immaculate Conception.
2. Blasphemies against Her Perpetual Virginity.
3. Blasphemies against Her Divine Motherhood.
4. Blasphemies of those who instill in children indifference against the Most Holy Virgin.
5. Blasphemies of those who make offenses in Her sacred images.

Thanks for posting this detail regarding what Our Lady has requested!

Thanks to you. I hope that every day there are more good Christians like you who are interested in following this devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

This isn’t a cross - it’s the elemental rings forming Captain Planet.

Why must everything be done in kitsch rainbow colors? A pitiful parody.

Patricia McKeever

That is the kind of image a child would produce in lessons. Tragic.

SonoftheChurch

Birds of a feather….😐

SonoftheChurch

It matches those rags from the opening of the Notre Dame Cathedral. 🤢🤮

Orthocat

Yup. "Rainbow coalition"! 😲

Patricia McKeever

@Orthocat
Whether or not this cross has anything to do with the "rainbow" / LGBTQ+ lobby is irrelevant. It is manifestly unsuitable to present as a cross/crucifix and most certainly should not be placed at the centre of any Catholic sanctuary wall. Pray for Archbishop Nolan - he is a Francis Fan and it shows... At times like this, it shows, bigly!

Orthocat

🤮 😡

Orthocat

Notice that "his excellency's" throne is where the Blessed Sacrament should be, so... More evidence that this character isn't Catholic.

Has he lost his mind?!!!….😣😖😡

Patricia McKeever

@SonoftheChurch If ever he had a working mind, I'd say that it is now well and truly losteth! 🥴

And just to underline the fact that Archbishop Nolan has a very thin grasp of the Catholic Faith, here is a link to his interview with the editor of the dissenting/apostate Open House magazine, which has been calling for married priests, ordination of women, cohabitation, you-name-it since printing presses were invented...

It is downright embarrassing how stupid and immature Catholic clerics can be.

Patricia McKeever

I live in the Archdiocese of Glasgow so, shocking as is this latest scandal, it's hardly breaking news that Archbishop Nolan is about as Catholic as the nearest Imam. He hit the headlines here a while back where he had permitted a group of ageing dissenters to hold a conference on archdiocesan premises. He was quoted as saying, effectively, that Catholics do not have the missionary spirit as part of our "tradition" so we need to learn that from others... Truly, you could not make this stuff up. 🥱 😴

Patricia McKeever

@chris griffin The current crop of clergy - including the bishops - are tragically ignorant of the Faith. They are too young to have been taught the Faith: I can't think of any exceptions, but off the top of my head, most were born in the sixties and seventies. That is, the revolution - the diabolical attack on the Faith - was well underway by the time they appeared on the scene. They've never known anything except modernism, just do not have a clue.

@Patricia McKeever Thank you for your comments! There is also another explanation. "an enemy hath done this." God bless you and Merry Christmas!

Patricia McKeever

@lancs1 Very well said - I totally agree. In fact, some years ago when I said to a priest that I sometimes felt sorry for the young clergy, he corrected me without delay, saying precisely what you have said - that we were able to use our brains and research using the internet and catechisms of old in order to - if necessary - re-learn the truths of the Faith and so must these younger clergy. There is just no excuse. It would suffice if they only ever learn the important truth taught by Father of the Church, St Vincent de Lerins, that if/when the whole Church appears to be infected with error, then we "cling to antiquity" which is to say, Tradition; we research to learn what ALL Christians have believed in ALL places and at ALL times. That is how we can distinguish true and false beliefs. Grasp that key truth, and all will be well. Deo gratias!

Patricia McKeever

@Jeffre @Jeffrey Ade - thank YOU Jeffrey Ade for thanking ME! And yes, indeed, "an enemy hath done this"... It's just a pity he lives in Glasgow 😉
I return your Christmas wishes and pray for a blessed New Year in 2025. God bless.

A friend who lives on one of the Scottish islands sent me this report on the subject, published at Complicit Clergy - so word is spreading...

@Patricia McKeever I sense your sorrow, as this is close to "home." It is a sad situation and not unlike a complete takeover of Holy Mother the Church! We are inundated with this false church here in the States. But there are good Catholics fighting against this evil current, and we should be encouraged! As my one my heroes said. "We now know we must rely upon God and our own swords. But we should not be disheartened, rather the opposite! For it is better to know the truth of one's situation, then to rely on specious hope!" Keep the Faith, keep the Rosary! God bless you!

Patricia McKeever

@Jeffrey Ade A friend in England had sent me the link to this discussion yesterday, so I took a minute to post a couple of comments. Then I paid a quick visit to my emails and found a message from a couple of friends in the USA saying they had just read my comments on GTV! So, it really is a small world. Yes, the "takeover" is horrifying but at least in the USA there is a good fightback. You have news outlets like The Remnant, for example - here is Scotland we have nothing. Pray for us!

Jeffrey Ade

Willdo!

Patricia McKeever

@Jeffrey Ade
Thank you, Jeffrey!

I've now discovered that this logo was chosen from stacks of entries, and the "artist" is Jake Travis, a "gay" massage therapist in Italy. As one commentator says, the Vatican is in financial trouble, asking us for money, yet spends money on this kind of evil-doing. I must add that likewise, the Archdiocese of Glasgow is in financial trouble, closing churches right, left and centre, and yet can always find money for pet projects.
In the case of Glasgow, Archbishop Nolan is spending £1 million on "outreach" - he wants to go out and bring people into the Church, although omits to say where we should take them since the churches are, as I say, closing all over the place. What a mess. Pray!
