However, the issue with Escriba is that he supported also other elements of the" (post)Conciliar church" e.g. Gaudium et spes, ecumenism, interreligious dialogue and so on. That he liked the "Latin aesthetics" is quite meaningless here.

It stands to reason. I think that all of the older priests who received indults for saying the TLM were only authorized to celebrate in private.
