St. Andrew's Christmas Novena and Opening Prayer

Hail and blessed be the
hour and moment in which
the Son of God
was born of the most pure
Virgin Mary,
at midnight, in Bethlehem,
in the piercing cold.
In that hour vouchsafe,
I beseech Thee, O my God,
to hear my prayer
and grant my desires,
through the merits of
Our Saviour Jesus Christ,
and of His Blessed Mother.
Amen.
Beginning on the Feast Of St. Andrew Nov. 30, the following prayer is traditionally recited 15 times a day until Christmas. Mention your request.
Day 1
Prayer:
O Great Son of God, you have become man in order to make yourself loved by men. But where is the love that men give you in return? You have given your life blood to save our souls.
Why then are we so hard-hearted, repaying your love with our ingratitude? More than others, I have myself ill-treated you in this manner, Lord.
But your Passion is my hope. For the sake of that love which led you to take upon yourself our human nature and to die for me on the cross, forgive me all the offenses I have committed against you. …More
