For the Bishop of Erfurt, Ulrich Neymeyr, the "personal highlight" of this year's Katholikentag in Erfurt (29 May to 2 June) is "the liturgy of the word on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi" (Katholisch.de, 7 March).
The "Katholikentag" is a festival-like gathering in Germany that takes place about every 2-4 years. Corpus Christi is a public holiday in Erfurt. Catholics must attend a Eucharist on that day, not just a "liturgy of the word".
Other highlights for Neumeyr are a central ecumenical service on Friday evening and the concluding Eucharist on Sunday.
The theme of the German pseudo-synod will not be the main focus, but will be present. As an example, Neymeyr mentions a program item on homosexual propaganda entitled "The body of Christ is queer - and now?".
To no one's surprise, the words "God", "Jesus", "Bible", "faith", "prayer" and "spirituality" do not appear in the description of the Katholikentag programme.

Interdict all of Germany, laicize all of its Priests and Bishops, suppress all of its Religious orders, societies and institutions, dismantle all of its so-called "Catholic" universities, colleges and schools, excommunicate and dismiss all of its theologians and theological professors, disband all of its Lay associations....and then:
