Olympics: Three Cardinals and 24 Bishops Demand Apology

27 Cardinals and bishops have sent an open letter to the International Olympic Committee demanding to "repudiate" the blasphemous opening ceremony and apologise to all people of faith.

The names include Cardinal Burke, Cardinal Napier, Cardinal Souraphiel, Archbishops Cordileone (San Francisco), Bishops Aquila (Denver), Conley (Lincoln, Nebraska) and Cozzens (Crookston, Minnesota), Paprocki (Springfield), Schneider (Astana).

The signatories (15 from the U.S.) commit to a day of prayer and fasting in reparation for this blasphemy.

They write: "With shock, the world watched as the Summer Olympics in Paris opened with a grotesque and blasphemous depiction of the Last Supper."

And, "It is hard to understand how the faith of over 2 billion people can be so casually and intentionally blasphemed."
