Is the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem Currently Bleeding? (Video)

The journalist David Murgia has published a video on IlSegnoDiGiona.com (November 8) which purports to show that “the stone of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem” is oozing oil and blood.

He asks the question, “Is the world in danger?”. But then the confusion begins.

The article’s picture shows the stone of Golgotha on which the cross of Christ stood, while the attached video shows the stone at the entrance to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where the dead body of Christ was anointed before burial.

This stone is accessible to everyone, and it is customary for pilgrims to pour oil on it.

Murgia, then, goes on to identify the “oozing stone” as “the stone that held the body of the Messiah for three days - the stone of the Holy Sepulchre.

However, this stone no longer exists, at least not in its original form, after Caliph Hakim destroyed Christ's tomb in 1009.

Conclusion: Murgia's article can safely be called a canard.
