Bishop Eleganti: The [S]ex-Synod Makes Itself Suspect

"It is not only today, that the Church is guided by the Holy Spirit," writes Bishop Marian Eleganti, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Chur, Switzerland, on Marian-Eleganti.ch (October 31) in a commentary on the recently concluded [S]ex-Synod.

Eleganti points out that the Church has always “discerned the spirits to see if they are of God."

He criticises the claim in the final document of the [S]ex-Synod that the deliberations were conducted as a "conversation in the Spirit":

"Those who were most certain that their views and reforms were of the Holy Spirit were conspicuously - in historical perspective - heretics, sectarians and schismatics - not saints," he warns:

"The more you stress that you are in the Spirit, the more suspicious you become."

In the end, I think that this homo synod will not destroy the Church, but will destroy the remaining days of Francis' pontificate (if he is still alive), and his legacy. It will also ruin the careers of ALL who participated in it in a progressivist/heretical/pro-homo way and pushing that agenda.
