Benedict XVI Has Himself Portrayed As "Pope emeritus"

Russian-born artist Natalia Tsarkova who lives in Rome and officially portrayed John Paul II (2000) and Benedict XVI (2007) has now painted the latter as “Pope emeritus” as well.

Tsarkova told EWTN.com about the rosary she painted in Benedict’s hand that it is “part of him; it’s his favorite rosary.” Other details of the picture include the pectoral cross and the fisherman’s ring, the sign of the Petrine office which Francis doesn't wear.

The painter unveiled the portrait in the presence of Benedict at a 3 November ceremony at Palazzo Cesi, a hotel near the Vatican.

The image shows Msgr. Georg Ratzinger (+2020) and Archbishop Georg Gänswein, as well as the women caring for Benedict. Other details include Benedict's red-haired cat washing itself in the background and a reflection in a jug showing Benedict XVI playing the piano.

I find it interesting how the neo conservatives want to idolize Benedict VI who was in reality a modernist destroyer of the faith.

And they even put him in opposition to Francis, while Francis is just continuing the same agenda.
Francis is more open about it than Ratzinger, but is the same agenda.

Just what the Church needs at this troubling time - another portrait.

They want us to compare Pope Benedict XVI with Pope Francis and come away believing the former was actually a great pope. Absolutely false. Not only did he abandon his role as Supreme Pontiff allowing the Conciliar church to become even more powerful, at an earlier time in his life he was one of the key Modernists who gave us Vatican II.
Certainly we should and do appreciate his Summorum Pontificum, so perhaps by that time in his life he recognized how misled he was at the time for pushing the Modernist views of the Council.
Nevertheless, like so many of the rest of the Conciliarists, he refuses to absolutely condemn the great many false and heretical teachings of the Second Vatican Council and acknowledge that what grew out of it was an evil that will likely lead more souls to hell than any other evil in the history of the world—and there were many.

If you don't see the pope then better put your "glasses" on...

I see an ex-pope with modernist leanings together with his Opus Dei guardian.

" Mr. Bergoglio is likely not even a priest..." I had to laugh when I read this. Maybe a priest, certainly not a bishop, because it was done in the reformed "Vatican II" consecration (which would mean that Benedict XVI wasn't a legit bishop either because he got the same consecration). But despite his "heresies" which are miniscule compared to Bergoglio, Benedict XVI was a much better Pope, and gave us Summorum Pontificum which Bergoglio is trying (and failing badly) to destroy. Benedict XVI just wrote a book, and also sent several letters out to various Catholic groups. He coulds still have been Pope....just not appearing much and not celebrating Mass. Bergoglio doesn't celebrate Mass. He just sit like a lump in his chair or wheelchair. But Benedict XVI still could have been Pope......the oldest Pope the Church ever had, and if he lives (and I hope actually that he gets to participate in Francis' funeral), he'd be in office 18 years this April. Can you think of all the good he might have done!! There would be no crisis with German/Austrian Churches, no "Synodal Way", and no emphasis on accepting/ promoting/ applauding homosexuality. And of course, he would not have recieved Transvestite homosexual prostitutes in audience. HAHAHA 🤪

"but he tried protect to our Orthodox Teaching."

There is no orthodoxy within the revolution.
Ratzinger was heterodox - using the revolutionary doublespeak. Bergoglio is perhaps more heterodox (i.e. more progressive). That's all.

@Kenjiro M. Yoshimori Bergoglio is the first post-Vatican II pope to be ordained in the new rite of ordination by Paul VI.
Some say that the new rite or ordination is at best deficient. Some say it is no better than an anglican "ordination" which is invalid and do not convey priesthood.

It is pretty much the same as Anglican, which of course is invalid. Going further, we might even say that Popes since Vatican II (beginning with JPII) and invalid, because they didn't have the proper consecration/coronation all previous Popes since at least the 6th century did. Paul VI was the last. Which means perhaps that JP I & II, Benedict and of course Francis, are invalid. Since Francis' election was campaigned for (even by himself inside the conclave) he is invalid.

I am a military man. We are in the Ecclesia Militans. In war, there are many grey areas. The New Mass is illicit, but can be valid, if said within the Rubrics. The N.O. consecrations of bishops are massively watered down, but can also be valid. But, admittedly, it is all murky. I think we have to give the Holy Ghost some latitude here in making the Faithful and Faithful priests stuck in the NO for whatever reason have validity in their sacraments. Remember, as long as a priest or bishops does what the Church requires, he doesn't even have to believe.
Of course, for myself and my family, I choose the SSPX, because I know the priests ordained within the Society are priests, because I know the Bishops are bishops.
But, the rot is everywhere. Look at Archbishop Lefebvre's lineage!

Lienart was a problem child. If you really want to understand the issue, read this: traditionalmass.org/images/articles/CracksMas.pdf
The Church, guided by the Holy Ghost I am sure, recognizes that things down here are messy, like in war. Another analogy is baptism by water, desire and blood...call a spade a spade, but know your Church Tradition as well...

He's not. He's either Pope Benedict XVI or Cardinal Ratzinger and / or just Fr. Joe. Legally, for several reasons, my personal opinion is that he is the Pope (though his heresies might nullify that -- a future Pope will decide). Mr. Bergoglio is likely not even a priest...

V.R.S.

He is one of the periti. Spiritus moventes of the revolution. As the Pope he wanted to justify his youth years i.e. Vatican II with absurd hermeneutics of continuity and failed miserably. Then he fled from more progressive wolves by resigning.
If Jorge Mario Bergoglio is not a Pope then we have sedes vacans. Tertium non datur.

The Church is in fact in a "Sede Vacante" position. Bergoglio was campaigned for by the Sankt Gallen Mafia of radical Cardinals lead by the late, INFAMOUS Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini, SJ. He wanted to manipulate the conclave to have it elect a fellow radical Jesuit. Other like minded Cardinals campaigned for Bergoglio, and there are witnesses who have said Bergoglio campaigned for himself. Idiot Cardinal Danneels, the radical liberal homo-loving late Archbishop of Brussles, Belgium, let it all slip. I thought Cardinals were supposed to keep quiet about the goings on in conclave to elect a new Pope? Good thing he didn't, becasue what he said proves Bergoglio to be an illegitimate Pope....his election is void because there was active campaigning for him....even done by himself.

If I'm not mistaken, also Homosexual-pedophile pervert ex-Cardinal McCarrick also let it all slip out that Bergoglio was campaigned for, and that he campaigned for himself. McCarrick said it in a speech around 2014-15 and went into detail. Too bad none of the good Cardinals, or none of the faithful Catholics picked up on the story to forge Jorge to resign.

Yep that's true. By the way, when still a priest and cardinal, Mr. McCarrick invested me into the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Was that valid? Yep, it sure was. See the article on HE Archbishop Lefebvre that I posted in this discussion above. Messy indeed...none of us are unaffected, if you really start digging...
