Twice Wrong.

Twice Wrong: The CNBC interviewed the Prefect of the Dicastery for Integral Human Development, Cardinal Peter Turkson, asking him about Pope Francis' message to the World Economic Forum 2018 in Davos, Switzerland. At a certain point, Turkson was confronted with the question about what went wrong with capitalism since it did not benefit everybody. In his answer the cardinal referred to the year 1892 when - quote — "Pope Leo the Great"-wrote a circular about —quote —"the new towns". Apparently Turkson wanted to refer to the encyclical Rerum Novarum which Leo XIII wrote in 1891. Pope Leo the Great died in 461.

Again Twice Wrong: The Italian Bishops’ Conference announced that it wants to introduce a wrong translation of the Our Father in the Italian Mass which will also be used in the Vatican. The wrong translation will say something like: “and do not abbandon us in temptation”. The Italian Mass contains already a wrong translation of the words of consecretation which says that the chalice is given up “for all” instead of “for many”. The Italian bishops refused to correct the mistake although Benedict XVI ordered them to do so already in 2006.

Putsch Cardinal: Oscar Fortin has accused Cardinal Rodríguez Maradiaga of Tegucigalpa, a radical partisan of Pope Francis, of conniving at vote rigging after the presidential elections in Honduras. Asked about the vote rigging in his country, Rodríguez who usually is quick to make political statements, replied, "I cannot comment on this because this belongs to the political parties." Fortin points out that in 2014, Rodríguez pontificated about a – quote – “Latin American Spring”. Already in 2009 he openly supported a coup against the elected president of Honduras.
