It's an “absurdity” to put Holy Communion in a take-away bag, as done in Switzerland and Germany, Cardinal Robert Sarah told LaNuovaBq.it (May 2).
Sarah reminded that Christ is a person, “Nobody welcomes the person he loves in a bag or otherwise in an unworthy way.”
“The response to the privation of the Eucharist cannot be desecration,” Sarah explained.
He implicitly condemned almost all bishops by stating that “nobody can prevent a priest from confessing and giving communion, nobody has the right to stop him.”
He added that the Church cannot go on with live-streamed Masses because this is “highly misleading" for priests because "in Mass the priest has to look at God [while facing the people?], instead he is getting used to looking at the camera, as if it were a show.”

Sarah also in this interview: "Unfortunately, many things are done in Germany that are not Catholic, but that doesn't mean you have to imitate them."
