Bishop Reed, auxiliary of Boston, ordained 5 new priests yesterday for the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter.
Fides Et Ratio shares this
Unfortunately, he was consecrated a bishop in the new, doubtful rite, and consequently a cloud hangs over the validity of all his ordinations (and all the sacraments of those priests of the FSSP who were “ordained” by such bishops). According to Catholic doctrine, nobody is supposed to approach a doubtfully ordained priest or bishop since we cannot receive (nor should we want to receive) doubtful sacraments.
Congratulations to these very excellent Brethren. Let us pray that there be no sodomite among them. And that they may remain true to their vows and vocation.
