Just got back from the Covadonga pilgrimage in Spain. Absolutely wonderful! I intend to write more about it at Tradition & Sanity, but for the moment (as I dig myself out of a huge backlog), I'll simply share a few photos from the 3-day, 60-mile trek in the company of 1500 infectiously joyful Catholic pilgrims, walking from Oviedo through glorious Asturian countryside to Covadonga, one of the most dramatic shrines in the world—the starting point of the 800-year Reconquista of Spain. It's incredibly heartening to see the embers of faith still glowing in this part of Europe. Christendom is not dead, she only slumbers.
