Those are beautiful Catholic items that the Novus Ordo churches got rid of. I wonder why, perhaps those items are not modern enough.

I think it was a bad idea in 1986 as much as it was in 2023. Not sure what Bishop Strickland refers to saying that it was a beautiful moment of evangelization since WYD has a long history if issues. You may remember Mother Angelica was particularly upset on EWTN that a woman was playing Jesus in WYD 1993, just a few years after its institution, great video, look it up.
