Before and After: St. Meinrad Archabbey, Indiana

They disassembled the altar (left picture) and placed the tall, center portion of it in a prayer area behind the organ pipes (right picture). The parts on either side of it are now sitting in the back of a small chapel in the basement of this building. What happened to the rest of it I do not know. So sad.

Anytime critics of a conclusion are offered the chance to refute that conclusion, but, instead, they choose to censor it, one can pretty much be assured that the conclusion is, at least, on the right path if not spot on correct.

Catholics May Not Pray For Deceased Non-Catholics !

After spending the past day reading through some of the most vile and hate-filled posts I have ever seen, on both Catholic and secular sites, I am just going to leave this here. I am so tired of those who either want to limit what God can do (He can't save that person) or think themselves to be God by claiming omniscience regarding the mind and soul of others. If we are really to love and pray for our enemies and do good to those who persecute us (although not a single person that I have questioned on how they were personally persecuted by Elizabeth can present a single instance), then we need to relinquish our desire to put our judgement ahead of God's and pray that He lead ALL souls to heaven, ESPECIALLY those in most need of God's mercy (sound familiar?). I bear no malice with this message but merely felt the need to get this off my chest. Sorry if I give offence.

Uruguay: Well-Done, Council Church!

Paul Harvey's 1965 "If I was the devil" monologue comes to mind when I read articles like this. In this case "If I was devil, what would I do to destroy the Church", then go through all the things that the Church has done over the past half century that have resulted in the decimation of the clergy and the laity, summing it up as "If I was the devil I'd just keep on doing what I've been doing".

Why Does the Clergy Behave Like a Pack of Delinquent Monkeys? - By Dr Geoffrey Brushwood

This reminds me of some of the videos I've seen over the past few years put out by various religious orders that make them look more like fraternity brothers than religious brothers. I assume that these videos are meant to make their order look "cool" to prospects.
