It is a very good thing that the Church is for the poor! Jesus loved the poor the most, because they are most open for the gospel! In this meaning the pope said: "How I would like a poor Church". Saint Francis of Assisi was very poor concerning himself as was saint John Vianney, but for God nothing was good enough. Saint Francis has renovated with his own hands several churches and chapels as beautiful as possible for the honour of God (he was asked so in a vision). Also St John Vianney was very poor for himself, but used the most beautiful garments for the liturgy to honour God as much as he could. Hopefully our new pope will have the same love for the honour of God!!

@Helene. Es ist normalerweise eine Sünde so zu denken. Aber man hat stark den Eindruck alsob es schon lange bekannt war das er Papst werden würde. Dieser Artikel kann nicht in nur einigen Minuten geschrieben sein mit den vielen Fussnoten und Referenzen. Da stimmt etwas nicht, würde man beinahe sagen. Ich muss meine Emotionen zur Ruhe bringen, Entschuldigung!
Sein Name Franziskus wäre möglicherweise unglücklicherweise ein Referenz nach dem Treffen in Assisi, das ein überdeutlicher Hinweis war nach der eine Weltreligion vom Antichrist. It is absolutely true that such prophesies are distracting from prayer and reading about our faith. We have to pay heed to that: the devil is very sly! The prophesies of St. Malachy belongs in no way to the doctrine of the Church. Also beware of false messages like The warningsecondcoming (which are also full of illogicallities and therefore can not be true); I do not know any messages of our time who could be from Heaven (so there can't be many true messages). On the other hand one thing is especially very important: that no one under really NO circumstances accepts the sign of the AntiChrist (666) in hand or head. The Anti-Christ will reign in the time that Petrus Romanus and the Anti-pope is reigning the Church. To defeat the Anti-Christ and the Devil we have to pray the holy Rosary; to defend ourselves against the Devil, we have to wear the brown scapular of the mount Carmel! And remember that it is very important to know well the Truth of our Faith. So study (again) a good catechism!!
