I can think of many heterosexuals who have killed priests;
but I cannot recall one incident of a homosexual killing a
priest. Homosexuals have been known to kill their lovers;
such as former Italian commando Michele de Marco Lupo
who first tortured, then killed his gay lovers in a particularly
brutal and sadistic manner. Don’t be taken in by cultural
stereotypes that all homosexuals are limp-wristed guys.
Many homosexuals are full blooded males, and are
anything but “girly men”, and have made excellent
fighters in the theatre of war since ancient times.

Being both shot and strung up is not without precedent. In the last days of WW-II, Mussalini was executed by machine gun, then his and his mistress' body were hung in the streets of Rome for everyone to come and kick or spit on it. You could tell he was not a very popular guy among the Italians.

The girly-men are making an historical allusion directed at Fr Tim Finigan. Fr. attempted to deflect the threat with humor. However, there is nothing humorous about a death threat and I would encourage this and all priests of "bonae voluntatis" to take proper precautions in their daily lives especially when speaking the truth as it relates to sodomites.
