It is unfortunate that a permenant catechumen receives no forgiveness of sins and no grace of baptism. He cannot claim "baptism of desire" if he accepts status which has no intention of receiving baptism. Also, the attendance at mass of the polygamist will scandalize the baptized faithful. So, the first law of the church changes from the salvation of souls to "todos, todos, todos". Before saying, "narrow is the road and few who find it," Jesus should have spoken to these theologians. He would have realized, there is no road, no need for repentance, no need for reparation. Pray daily for these false shepherds. They are in great peril.

Ah, that is an excellent point. The church clarifies doctrine over time but does not change it. I don't think Newman changed doctrine, but he left open, through very creative language, a path to reinterpret doctrine in a way that would make the Apostles cry.

I find Newman to be proto-modernist. I don't mean to pass judgment since I have read/listened to only a fraction of his works and am not a theologian. But, as noted above, he is open to "development" of doctrine. Perhaps in his time that seemed reasonable. In our time we see the disaster which resulted from abandoning Apostolic Tradition under the guise of development.

The Bishop is the local Ordinary of the Synodal Church. These good people are looking for the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. They need to go elsewhere to find it. One doesn't go to the Presbyterian, Baptist or Methodist Church to find sacraments. The same goes for the Synodal Church.
It is not "One" because its many Synods need not agree.
It is not "Holy", which means separated apart for God. It is all about man and doesn't give a fig for God.
It is not Catholic, since it does not want to be universal.
And it is not Apostolic, actively casting off every remnant of what the Apostles passed on.
Better to gather together in some faithful's home for spiritual communion in common than receive a sacrilegious synodal mockery.
It is a shame and we should never stop praying for these men, but even attending their services gives the false impression that they can win you over.

The irony is that if the TLM were allowed in parishes people would be supporting their own parishes …
I am sure there was a lot of pushback by parishes on moving the TLM out. A successful TLM would be 1/3rd or more of parish contributions. Losing even 1/4 of the donations would push any parish into the red. This note at the TLM mass will not help. A family who now has to drive an extra hour to mass will have no warm feelings toward the parish which abandoned them.
The Synodal Church is a suicidal church. As it continues to collapse morally it will collapse financially. I am confident that The One Catholic and Apostolic Church will rise from the rubble.
