Greccio: Where the nativity scene originated.

Greccio: Where the nativity scene originated.
DW on Dec 14, 2017 The first nativity play, or re-enactment of Jesus' birth, was staged in Greccio, Italy, in 1223. Saint Francis of Assisi had the idea. The nativity play is still one of the year's highlights there today.

Sanctuary of Greccio - Wikipedia
The Hermitage of Greccio Sanctuary (Italian: Santuario Eremo di Greccio) is one of the four shrines erected by Saint Francis of Assisi in the Sacred Valley, along with the Sanctuary of Fonte Colombo, the Sanctuary of the Forest, and the convent of Poggio Bustone. It is located in the Italian town of Greccio, about 15 kilometres (9.3 miles) from the city of Rieti, seat of the homonym province, is recessed at an altitude of 665 metres (2,182 ft) above sea level, in the rocks of the mountains in the immediate vicinity of the medieval village of Greccio with views of the wide Rieti Valley.
Francis presented the first living Nativity scene in a nearby cave in December 1223.

A priest who knew too much

Sister Lucy Truth
Father Joaquín María Alonso was the official archivist of Fatima, entrusted with the Church's most closely guarded secret. For fifteen years, he had unrestricted access to everything: the original manuscripts, Sister Lúcia's sealed letters, the confidential correspondence. He wrote sixteen volumes documenting what he discovered. Then, in 1981, he died. His life's work was buried in the Vatican archives, never to see wide distribution. This is the tragic story of the priest who knew too much, a story that has never been told, until now. Fifty-minute documentary. Narration by Kevin Strain kmpstrain@gmail.com

I am not advocating for Sharia Law. But principally it is objectively superior to modern Western democracy, as was Catholic Christendom.
1. Divine Authority
Sharia Law:
Authority comes from God as revealed in the Qur’an and Hadith.
Traditional Christendom: Law was historically grounded in God’s authority as interpreted through the Bible and Church teachings.
Similarity: In both systems, laws are not purely human inventions; they are believed to reflect divine will and moral order.
2. Integration of Morality and Law
Sharia Law:
Legal obligations include moral duties, like honesty, charity, and religious observance.
Christendom: Canon law and moral teachings influenced secular law, regulating ethical behavior, sexual conduct, and social responsibility.
Similarity: Both see legal compliance and moral/religious duty as intertwined rather than separate spheres.
3. Role of Religious Authorities
Sharia Law:
Scholars and judges interpret divine texts and issue rulings (fatwas).

A false religious law imposing false ethical codes many of which are contrary to the Natural Law cannot be better but is actually worse than a secular Republic. Child marriage- rape of pre-pubescent girls, murder of apostates, and violence on non believers is all sanctioned under Sharia Law. In medieval Christendom the role of the Pope vis a vis the secular state was quite distinct from a Caliphate or Iran's Supreme Mullah where there is no recognition of a secular sphere.

A very touching and sad video

I once posted a video of a 7 year old girl who had cancer that President Putin invited to the Kremlin with her parents. (Video: youtube.com/watch?v=jpmLbHv6uZs).
I found a video recently about the full story of another boy in that video.
The young boy Dima who had cancer in the hospital he also visited. He had a dream of a cheerful hospital with lots of color. This is the full story of that young boy and what President Putin did. Though the little boy passed away, his dream came true for other children.
The boy with the red bandana on his head in another video was very shy and even hid under the covers. Such sweet children.

This is a very touching video. Not just of Dima but everyone involved. Watch as Doctors and Nurses get on their knees to help clean the new hospital. Such humble and caring people I have ever seen. GOD Bless this wonderful man and how he is involved with his people so much.

Happy Children or Saints Bound for Heaven?
Fr. Altier emphasizes the importance of parents dedicating their children to God, prioritizing their spiritual well-being over worldly happiness. He encourages parents to pray for their children’s salvation and holiness, even if it involves difficult paths or suffering, as exemplified by Hannah and the Blessed Virgin Mary. The ultimate goal is for children to become saints and attain eternal life in heaven.

At long last, dogs and cats who suffered in labs may finally get the break they deserved.
President Trump has signed a bill ending Department of Defense funding for cruel dog and cat experiments, marking a historic win for animal protection in the United States. For years, animals were subjected to painful and distressing tests in the name of science. Now that funding will stop.
This change comes after the U.S. Senate voted to cut all federal support for these experiments and sent the bill to the White House for approval. With the President’s signature, the cruelty that many animals quietly endured behind closed doors is being dismantled.
Animal advocates across the country are calling this a moment of hope. They say it reflects a growing recognition that compassion must guide research and that animals who feel fear and pain deserve protection, not suffering.
For the dogs and cats who cannot speak for themselves, this decision represents a chance at dignity and a future free …More

This will be a very good thing. IF it were to happen. But I doubt it highly.
Our Saints, loved and cared for animals as if they were human beings. They healed them, cured them and brought them back to life as well as Blessed them. And lived with them in their homes. monasteries and the animals followed them everywhere and even saved the lives of Saints.
Once Our Lord placed something so tiny in the hands of Julian of Norwich she feared if she dropped it, it would be destroyed. But Our Lord told her. GOD made it. GOD Loves it. And it will never be destroyed.

PRAYER FOR THE RESCUE OF SOULS

When we pray this prayer, we are trying to rescue souls and heal our wounds, both physical and mental; that is, to have compassion and mercy on one another, on lost souls, and on the living in our earthly world. This prayer is originally derived from the prayer for souls in purgatory. We imagine that God, Jesus, the angels, and the saints rescue souls suffering in hell. It would be wonderful if we all prayed this beautiful prayer.
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Free the souls in the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of your divine mercy. God the Eternal Father, I offer you the wounds of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to heal our wounds, forgive our sins, and save souls. My Jesus, pardon and mercy; through the merits of your holy wounds. Jesus, God, I love you, save souls. Amen.
Share, spread, let this prayer go viral and become official in all our churches. Save yourselves, forgive one another, and renew your faith.
